STRATEGIC PLANNING AS A TOOL FOR ACHIEVING ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES (A CASE STUDY OF OLA-OLUWA AINA WIRE INDUSTRY LIMITED, OSOGBO, OSUN STATE)

ABSTRACT

This project is meant to examine what strategic planning is all about and how it is being applied in Ola-Oluwa Aina Wire Industry. In any organization, employee constitutes a significant part. The success of the company depends on effect and efficient utilization of the personnel, the human resources in order to retain these, the personnel of the company’s aim and objectives could be achieved. This research work examine how planning is being applied in Ola-Oluwa Aina Wire Industry and effectively they are being used to achieved their organizational goals and to identify the main problem of planning and provide necessary solution. The first chapter of this study deals with the introduction part it contain the general introduction of the study. It contains the statement of the problems, scope of the study, the significance of the study, research hypothesis, and definition of terms. Second chapter contains the literature review. The chapter deals with review of the authors, textbooks and journals. It examined the meaning of strategic planning in form of incentive and theoretical background of the study. The chapter three contains the research design and the various methodologies adapted in carrying out the research. The data collected, sampling plan, description of the research instruments and conduct of field work were discussed. Also certain hypotheses were formulated. Chapter four deals with the result of the research and the interpretation of the data collected as explained in the preceding chapter with the responses to the interview conducted on the research question. Lastly, attention will be focused on summary, conclusion, discussion, recommendation and suggestion for further studies. This shall encompass the name of textbooks their authors, library where they are found as well as summary of all the point prior to the above mentioned point of my focus.
